Mo-Car Rent a car was founded in 1982 by Robert Fowler in its present location, Mojacar Playa. However during the late 90's Robert took a back seat in the company. Now it is run day to day by Ambrosio Flores. Mo car is a small company giving our best familiar service to our client at Almeria airport and province.

Rate Includes
-    Unlimited mileage
-    Fully comprehensive insurance (Collison Damage waiver, theft ,third party) and have zero excess
-    Personal accident insurance
-    Airport tax
-    Delivery at Almeria airport
-    24 hours road assistance

Rate Excludes
 -    16% VAT tax to be collected by the supplier at the time of pick up of vehicle. Please note: you will be charged this 16% VAT            tax on the base rental rate and for extras at the time of the beginning of your contract with the supplier.

Minimum Age
The minimum age is 21 years old and must have a driving license(international driving licence) for at least one year.

One way rentals
One way only accepted from Almeria airport to Main office in Mojacar. Free of charge from 3 days minimun rental period.

After Hours Pickup
Airport deliveries/collections out of office hours: 18 Euros from 22.00 to 08.00 hours.

Delivery Service
We offer hotel deliveries to Local Hotels up to 30 Kms- from main office.
Deliveries/collections to Hotels/Apartments: 18 Euros each way.

Baby seats/booster seats
Baby seat and booster seats can be hired with deposit bond of 60 euros, please contact the supplier after confirmation of booking to confirm details and costs.  If baby or booster seat is returned in the same condition, the deposit of 60 euros will be returned. For security reason baby seat must be fitted by the parents.

Roof racks
Not available.

Additional drivers
Additional driver is available. First one free. Maximum is 4 drivers per contract.

Cleaning Fee
If the car  returned need extra special cleaning a minimum charge of 30 euros will be charged.

Currency and Tax
Rates are in Euros including taxes.

Travel Restrictions
Vehicles can be driven in Spain only. Cars can not be driving off road.

Price excluded
-    Cost of Baby and booster seat.
-    Additional driver cost.
-    Optional insurance.
-    Damage to wheels, tyres, windows, the roof, the underside, the interior of the car, towing charges or damage caused willfully or through negligence.

Fuel
Cars are delivered with full tank of petrol which is pre-payable on collection of the car between 40.-euros and 100.-euros, depending de model of the vehicle. Between 3 and 4 days rental agreement full to full can be done.

Car Returns
Customer acknowledges that the vehicle is the property of MO-CAR, that the vehicle is in good mechanical conditions and he does receive together  with the necessary documentation and the proper tools, tyres and accessories and that all must be returned to MO-CAR in the same conditions, ordinary wear and tear excepted.

Minimum Hire
The minimum rental of the vehicle at Almeria airport is 3 days.

Cancellation Policy
The initial deposit paid is non-refundable. In addition to forfeiting your deposit, the following charges also apply:
If cancelled 10 days or more prior to pick up - No Fee;
If cancelled less than 10 days prior to pick up - 10% of Net Rental.

Booking Amendments
No penalties for altering a booking 10 days prior to pick up.

Insurance
The car is covered with fully comprehensive insurance (3rd party responsibility, Collision Damage waiver, Theft and Bail bond) with no excess.
Insurance does not cover for traffic fines, lost of keys, wrong fuel refilling, off road driving, undercarriage damage, glasses, tyres or wheels or driving under influence of alcohol or drugs. In case collision renter must fill in correctly the accident report form (declaration of the accident) and take it to the office, unless the Guardia Civil Traffic is doing the paper work.
We will be able to supply optional insurance to cover tyres and wheels and braking of glass.

Security Deposit
A security bond deposit of 400 - Euros will be taken when customer pick up the vehicle. This will be taken by way of a master or visa card and the deposit will be returned a the end of the hire if the car is returned without damage not covered under insurance policy.

Travel insurance
We strongly recommend that clients ensure they take out the highest level of travel insurance. In many cases this will cover any losses incurred if you are forced to cancel your booking.

Pets
No pets allowed in cars

Office Hours
Monday to Friday: 09:00 am to 13:30pm and 17:00 to 19:30
Saturday: 09:00 to 13:00
All Pick ups and drop offs must be made between office hours.
Car can be returned maximum one hour or 60 minutes after the finishing of the contract, further delay after the 60 minutes will incur and extra charge of a full day rental of vehicle and will be charged a penalty of 100 euros.

Mo-car rent a car depot is closed on Christmas Day, Easter Friday, August 15th and November 1st. However, we will honor all flights arriving at all these times during the year for bookings over one week, please ensure to arrange this with our staff in advance if your flight is due to arrive on these dates.

Pick up
At Almeria airport, someone is waiting outside luggage collection area with the client name on a board and one of our staff will have the paper work and delivery of the car at Almeria airport car park.
If a flight is diverted for any reason client must make contact to make arrangements for delivery of the car.
Drop off
At Almeria airport our staff will give instructions of how to return the car after finishing of the contract.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.75% credit card charge will be added when your payment is processed.

A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Amendments
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:
Car rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 25.00
To add or remove extras to/from a confirmed booking: 10.00
Motorhome rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 75.00
To add or remove extras to/from confirmed booking: 20.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.

Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.
